Editing an event

To edit an event

  1. Click the event that you want to delete.
  2. The event dialog is displayed.

  3. Enter a Summary for the event in the Summary field.
  4. This is used to label the event in the main calendar.

  5. Select the start date and time for the event from the lists displayed.
  6. Select the end date and time for the event from the lists displayed.
  7. Select the All day check box for an event that lasts all day.
  8. You can create a recurring event to repeat at a specified interval by selecting from the list of intervals. The following options are available:
  9. Never

    Daily

    Weekly

    Monthly

    Yearly

  10. You can create a reminder alert for this event by entering a period in the text entry box and selecting from the list of time periods. The following are available:
  11. At time of event

    5 minutes before

    15 minutes before

    30 minutes before

    1 hour before

    2 hours before

    1 day before

    2 days before

    1 week before

  12. From the Calendar list, select the calendar to which you want to add the event.
  13. You can choose to associate the event with a category by selecting one form the list displayed.
  14. Enter the location of the event in the Location field.(Optional)
  15. Click Search Addressbook to search for a contact.
  16. Enter the email addresses of contacts who you want to invite the event in the Invites field , click Add contact to add them to the event.
  17. Note: If you type a partial name, a list of partial matches from contacts in your address book is displayed, allowing you to quickly include contacts.

  18. Click Save to add the event to the selected calendar and to send the invitation to the event to the list of attendees.
  19. or

  20. Click Cancel
  21. A confirmation dialog will be displayed.
  22. Click Yes to save your changes to a draft event and return the main calendar view.
  23. Click No to close the confirmation dialog and return to the main calendar view.

  24. Click Cancel to close the confirmation dialog and return to the add event view.
