Editing a contact

To edit a contact:

  1. Click the Contacts tab.
  2. Select the address book containing the contact to be edited.
  3. Select the contact to be edited.
  4. Click Edit Contact
  5. The Edit Contact dialog is displayed.

    Enter appropriate information for the contact’s personal details, email, telephone, and address

    First name :- The contacts first name.

    Last name:- The contacts last name.

    An email address:- The contacts email address. If you enter a date for birthday or anniversary, the date format must be the same as that specified in the settings. For more information see Locale

    A phone number:- The contacts phone number. For phone numbers you can enter non-numeric characters such as hyphens and parentheses.

    Address:- The physical address of the contact.

    Personal:- You can add the contacts birthday or anniversary details here.

    Add fields :- you can add other information fields here

    Important: Plus and minus icons appear beside certain fields. is used to add multiple field entries. For example, you can include multiple Work Mobile numbers for a contact. it can be used to remove multiple fields, as well as completely remove a particular type of contact information. For example, you can choose not to display any instant messaging information for a contact.

To add an image.

  1. Click Change
  2. The file window appears.

  3. Browse to and select the file you want to attach.
  4. Click Open to attach your file.
  5. The image is automatically cropped to make it square. You can drag the image to change the area that is cropped. You can zoom in on the image by clicking and dragging the slider below the it.
  6. Click Save when finished.
